ORIENTAL COMMUNITY HALL IS GEYSERVILLE'S HALL!
The locals often refer to it as "the Hall" or "the Grange Hall". It is actually owned by an independent non-profit, Oriental Community Hall, Inc., whose sole purpose is to maintain the building and keep it for community use. The building was originally Oriental School--not for any relation to people from that far off corner of the world, but because the school lay on the east or "oriental" side of the river. Historically, Oriental often referred to the east side and Occidental the west side of a locale.
The hall is used regularly by local non-profit groups: the Geyserville Grange holds their monthly meeting at the "grange hall"; the Geyserville Kiwanis Club holds their weekly dinner meetings at the hall; and the Geyserville Chamber of Commerce has a monthly dinner meeting for its members here.
To find out more about these meetings or contact these groups, please go to our Partners page. Other local groups including he Geyserville Education foundation and various school groups also occasionally use the hall.
HALL RENTAL
When the hall is not being used by these groups, it is available for rent to members of the community for weddings, anniversary and birthday parties, memorial services, and fundraising events for local non-profit groups. Please take a few minutes to check out our Hall Facilities page and our
Gallery page. If you are interested in renting the hall, you can check out the Rental Rates & Rules page for additional information and links to printable PDF documents. You can also visit the Community Calendar page to see what is happening in our community, both at the hall and in the town and surrounding area. This will give you some idea of dates that are unavailable or undesirable for your event. For availability and additional information on hall rental, please contact our building manager through the Contact Us page.
